Tag App Update: Now It’s Even More Fun To Meet Up & Get Down

In one of my previous blog posts, I talked about one of the hottest new apps out right now – Tag. Tag is a must-have for college students; it allows you to privately share your location, a message, and a picture or video with whomever you choose in one easy step. Meeting up can be confusing, but it doesn’t have to be – Tag is there to help!

Tag has recently made some major changes to the app, making it even better than before. The app’s new look includes the introduction of its mascot – Shag the Tag dog… Now come on, who doesn’t love a huge, fluffy dog? Tag has also been upgraded to perform much faster than before, which ensures that you’ll be able to receive and open tags as soon as they are sent so you don’t miss out on any of the fun. 10552467_1529663577270920_2509072313112153493_n

Additionally, the app update has added editing options for your tags. Filters and a doodle feature allow users to customize the pictures in their tags before sending them. The video camera has also been updated to allow multi-part capture, which is similar to Vine (can start and stop video recording multiple times). With these features, the possibilities for your tags are endless – you can be more creative than ever before!

And of course – what I think is the best part – you can now send a tag to someone via text, even if they don’t have the app. Here’s how it works:

  1. You send your tag directly through the app just like you normally would, but you can now also select people from your address book (not just your friend list)
  2. Your friends (who don’t have the app) who you choose to send a tag to will receive a text message with a link to your tag so they can still see it via their mobile web browser
  3. The tag that they see gives them the option to open it in the app, which makes it easy for them to download it

Let’s face it – no one wants to be that friend sending app invites every day, but everyone wants to be able to connect with his or her friends directly through Tag. Sending tags via text is a great way to encourage your friends to download the app without being overbearing. Chances are that once they see your tag, they’ll want to download the app and tag you back!

Ultimately, the more friends you have on Tag, the easier it’ll be to meet up and get down.
So what are you waiting for? Check out Tag 2.0 for yourself and download it today.
